1. About the Trust & Acceptance of Terms

This website is operated by the Maha Pidi Arisi Thittam Veda Rakshanam Trust, a registered Public Charitable Trust (Reg. No. R/Selaiyur/Book-4/78/2021, PAN AAHTM2816K), with its registered office at Plot No. 193, Cheran Street, Ganesh Nagar, Chennai – 600073.

By accessing this website or making a contribution, you agree to these Terms & Conditions, our Privacy Policy, and our Cancellation & Refund Policy set out below. If you do not agree, please do not use this website or make a contribution.

2. Contributions (Sambhavana)

• Contributions are accepted from resident Indian nationals only. As the Trust does not hold FCRA approval, it is unable to accept contributions from non-residents or from foreign sources.
• A valid PAN is mandatory for all contributions.
• Contributors are requested to specify the nature of the contribution — whether towards the Corpus or General fund.
• All contributions are voluntary and are applied towards the charitable objectives of the Trust.

3. Receipts & 80G Status

On a successful transfer, an acknowledgement message is sent immediately. An official receipt on the Trust's letterhead is processed and issued once the funds are received in the Trust's bank account.

The Trust has held 80G recognition in earlier years. That registration is presently under appeal, and accordingly contributions made at this time do not currently qualify for deduction under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act. Contributors will be informed if and when the position is restored.

4. Payments

Online payments are processed securely through Razorpay and may be made by UPI, card, or net-banking. The Trust does not store your card or banking credentials; these are handled by the payment gateway in accordance with its own security standards.

5. Cancellation & Refund Policy

As contributions are voluntary donations towards charitable work, they are generally non-refundable once made and applied.

However, refunds will be considered in cases of genuine error — for example, a duplicate payment, an incorrect amount entered in error, or a technical failure resulting in a wrong charge. To request a refund in such cases, please contact us at info@vedarakshanam.org with the transaction details within 7 days of the payment. Approved refunds will be returned to the original payment method.

6. Privacy Policy

We collect only the information necessary to process your contribution and issue a valid receipt — typically your name, PAN, contact details, address, and payment information.

• This information is used solely for processing contributions, issuing receipts, statutory and tax compliance, and communicating with you about your contribution.
• We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.
• Payment information is handled by our payment gateway (Razorpay) and is not stored by the Trust.
• Information may be disclosed only where required by law or by a competent authority.

7. Use of the Website

The content on this website — including text, images, and the mark Maha Pidi Arisi Thittam® (Trade Mark No. 5032658) — is the property of the Trust and is provided for information about its charitable work. You may not reproduce or misuse the content or trademark without permission.

The Trust endeavours to keep information accurate and current but does not warrant that the website will always be available or error-free.

8. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
